Stupid Driver Tricks, Part Three

Is there anyone, save drivers of 18-wheelers, who truly needs 200 feet in between them and the car in front of them? Seriously, you with the Honda Civic hatchback...do you really think that by slamming on your brakes at 30 mph you're in any danger of hitting that car ahead of you if you keep up with traffic?

Big pet peeve: People who go the speed limit, but keep WAY back behind traffic. In my humble opinion, just as bad as people who go just under the speed limit. They make you miss lights, let tons of cars ahead of them...and are just ANNOYING! And I had every single one of them in front of me, at various points during my commute this morning.

People, there are simple unwritten rules for driving without pissing people off!

• Go the speed limit...well, the speed limit plus 5 mph
• Keep up with traffic
• Move over if you're in the left lane on a highway and someone is following closely...it IS a hint!
• Don't even get IN the left lane on a highway if you plan on cruising at 5 mph over the speed limit
• Don't use your brakes unless there's a genuine need to...that leaf on the road is probably not a danger to your car.
• And for the love of Pete, if you don't intend to follow these rules, please do not be in front of me on my commute home tonight!
